Softness is often described as a sensation. But sensation alone is unreliable.

In today’s fashion world, the word soft has lost precision. It is used freely, attached to almost anything, repeated until it no longer carries meaning. Labels promise one thing, descriptions suggest another and the material itself rarely has a chance to speak.

There are no universal standards forcing brands to be exact. Extra-long staple, premium cotton, natural blends — the language multiplies, while clarity disappears. Customers are left to trust approximations and interpretations.

At Pima Prima, we chose a different approach.

Precision Before Poetry

Our brand is built on mathematical honesty. We work only with exact data — not ranges, not assumptions, not “close enough.” Fiber length, purity and structure either meet the standard or they don’t. There is no tolerance for interpretation.

Every fabric we use is tested and certified in Lima by CERTINTEX Perú, an ISO 17025–accredited textile laboratory. Under analysis, fibers reveal what they truly are — their length, their integrity, their truth.

Only when the data confirms that the cotton meets the rare standard of genuine Peruvian ELS Pima does it move forward.
