    How to take correct measurements Pima Prima®

    • Basic measurements for tailoring Pima Prima® T-Shirt are taken in the places indicated in the illustrations.
    • The measuring tape should lie fairly freely on the measurement line.
    • The number of measurements depends on the model you want to order from our Pima Cotton.
    • A complete list of measurements is presented in the table of standard measurements on Pima Prima® Website.
    • It is advisable to order models of Pima Prima® Tees online that have sufficient freedom of fit.  That is, it is still better to order dresses and T-Shirts Custom Sized.
      • Waist circumference Pima Prima® Custom Pattern & Tee.
        Stand up straight. Find your natural waist, typically above the belly button and below the rib cage.
        Wrap a tape measure around your waist, ensuring it’s snug but not tight.
        Keep the tape measure parallel to the floor.
        Take the measurement.
        Record the measurement in inches or cm.
      • The length of the sleeve Pima Prima® Custom Pattern & Tee.
        Bend your arm at a 90-degree angle.
        Measure from the center of the back of your neck over your shoulder to your elbow.
        Then, measure from your elbow to your wrist.
        Record the measurement in inches or cm.
      • Length of the product Pima Prima® Custom Pattern & Tee.
        Put on the t-shirt.
        Stand up straight with your arms relaxed at your sides.
        Find a flat surface, like a wall, and stand against it to ensure proper posture.
        Use a flexible tape measure or ruler.
        Start at the highest point of your shoulder, where the shoulder meets the neck.
        Extend the tape measure down along the front of your body, following the centerline, to the desired length.
        Typically, this is where you want the t-shirt to end, such as at your waistline or hip bone.
        Ensure the tape measure follows the natural contours of your body and is not pulled tight.
        Take note of the measurement where the tape measure reaches the desired length.
        Record the measurement in inches or cm.
      • Side seam length Pima Prima® Custom Pattern & Tee.
        Stand up straight with your arms relaxed at your sides.
        Wear the garment you wish to measure, such as a shirt or dress.
        Identify the side seam of the garment, which is the seam that runs vertically along the side of the garment from
        the underarm to the hem.
        Locate the top of the side seam, near the underarm area.
        Use a flexible tape measure or ruler.
        Place the beginning of the tape measure at the top edge of the side seam, near the underarm.
        Extend the tape measure vertically down along the side of your body to the desired length, such as the hip or
        knee.
        Ensure the tape measure follows the curve of your body and remains flat against your clothing.
        Take note of the measurement where the tape measure meets the desired length.
        Record the measurement in inches or cm.
      • Arm circumference Pima Prima® Custom Pattern & Tee.
        Stand up straight with your arms relaxed at your sides.
        Use a flexible tape measure or a piece of string and a ruler.
        Locate the midpoint of your upper arm, which is typically halfway between your shoulder and elbow.
        Wrap the tape measure or string around your upper arm at this midpoint.
        Ensure the tape measure or string is snug but not tight against your skin.
        Keep your arm relaxed and your muscles uncontracted during the measurement.
        Make sure the tape measure or string is flat against your skin all the way around.
        Take note of the measurement where the tape measure or string meets and overlaps.
        Record the measurement in inches or cm.
      • Armhole circumference Pima Prima® Custom Pattern & Tee.
        Stand up straight with your arms relaxed at your sides.
        Identify the armhole, which is the opening where the sleeve attaches to the body of a garment.
        Take a flexible tape measure and wrap it around the fullest part of your shoulder and armpit, where the armhole
        sits.
        Ensure the tape measure is parallel to the ground and snug but not tight against your body.
        Keep your arms down and breathe normally during the measurement.
        Make sure the tape measure is flat against your skin all the way around.
        Take note of the measurement where the tape measure meets and overlaps.
        Record the measurement in inches or cm.
      • Front length to waist Pima Prima® Custom Pattern & Tee.
        Stand up straight with your back against a wall, and make sure your posture is natural.
        Place the beginning of a flexible tape measure or ruler at the base of your neck, where it meets your shoulders,
        or at the top of your sternum (breastbone).
        Extend the tape measure vertically down your chest to your waistline, keeping it parallel to the center of your
        body.
        Ensure the tape measure is straight and not twisted.
        Take note of the measurement where the tape measure reaches your waistline.
        Record the measurement in inches or centimeters.
      • Chest height Pima Prima® Custom Pattern & Tee.
        Stand up straight with your arms relaxed at your sides.
        Identify the base of your neck, where it meets your shoulders, or the top of your sternum (breastbone).
        Place the beginning of a flexible tape measure or ruler at this point.
        Extend the tape measure or ruler vertically down your chest until it reaches the desired location, such as the
        lowest point of your chest or your waistline.
        Ensure the tape measure or ruler is straight and perpendicular to the ground.
        Take note of the measurement where the tape measure or ruler meets the desired point.
        Record the measurement in inches or centimeters.
      • Hip circumference
        Stand up straight with your feet together.
        Wear form-fitting clothing or no clothing at all to ensure accurate measurements.
        Locate the widest part of your hips, typically around your buttocks.
        Wrap a flexible tape measure around the widest part of your hips.
        Ensure the tape measure is parallel to the ground and snug but not tight against your body.
        Keep your feet together and breathe normally during the measurement.
        Avoid pulling the tape measure too tight or allowing it to sag.
        Make sure the tape measure is flat against your skin all the way around.
        Take note of the measurement where the tape measure meets and overlaps.
        Record the measurement in inches or cm.
      • Chest circumference Pima Prima® Custom Pattern & Tee.
        Stand up straight with your arms relaxed at your sides.
        Wear a well-fitting shirt or no shirt at all to ensure accurate measurements.
        Wrap a flexible tape measure around the fullest part of your chest.
        Ensure the tape measure is parallel to the ground and snug but not tight against your body.
        Keep your arms down and breathe normally during the measurement.
        Avoid puffing out your chest or holding your breath, as this can distort the measurement.
        Make sure the tape measure is flat against your skin all the way around.
        Take note of the measurement where the tape measure meets and overlaps.
        Record the measurement in inches or centimeters.
      • Height Pima Prima® Custom Pattern & Tee.
        Stand upright against a wall without shoes, with your heels together and your back straight.
        Ensure your head, shoulders, buttocks, and heels are touching the wall.
        Keep your eyes facing forward and your chin parallel to the floor.
        Have someone assist you if possible, as it can be challenging to measure accurately by yourself.
        Use a flat object, such as a book or ruler, to ensure accuracy.
        Place the flat object horizontally on top of your head, touching the wall.
        Make sure the flat object is level and parallel to the floor.
        While holding the flat object in place, mark the point where it meets the wall.
        Step away from the wall and use a tape measure or ruler to measure the distance from the floor to the mark.
        Record the measurement in inches or cm.
      • Shoulder width Pima Prima® Custom Pattern & Tee.
        Stand up straight with your arms relaxed at your sides.
        Have someone assist you if possible, as it can be challenging to measure accurately by yourself.
        Position the beginning of a flexible tape measure or ruler at the edge of one shoulder, where it meets your arm.
        Extend the tape measure across the back, keeping it parallel to the ground, until it reaches the edge of the
        opposite shoulder.
        Ensure the tape measure is flat against your body and not twisted.
        Note the measurement where the tape meets the edge of the opposite shoulder. Record the measurement in
        inches or cm.
